Nicole Fullilove, the Lady Statesmen fell to Union University 5-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- DSU took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first after Kelly Byrd's two run home run to left field.
- Union University tied the game 2-2 in the top of the third with a two-run double to left field by Kaitlyn Kelley
- Jordan Jones took back the lead for Delta State with an RBI double to left field plating Carlie Vice.
- The Lady Bulldogs took a 5-3 lead in the top of the sixth after scoring three. The first run was scored after Kelley reached home after an error in right field. Gabby Morris was plated after a fielder's choice to score Union's second run. The Lady Bulldog's final run of the inning was plated by Peyton Mathis' RBI double.
ON THE MOUND:
- Nicole Fullilove (5-4) received the loss for DSU. She gave up five runs, three of which were unearned, and struck out eight through seven innings.
- Gabby Morris (4-3) got the win for Union University. She gave up three runs off four hits in seven innings of work.
NOTEABLES:
- Bird hit her fifth home run of the season.
- Bird has now reached base fourteen consecutive games.
