HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Delta State University men's tennis team fell to No. 11 William Carey University 5-4 on Saturday, March 2 in Hattiesburg, MIss.
In the loss to WCU,
Trey Seymour and
Emile Le Terrier claimed one of DSU's two doubles wins. Seymour and Le Terrier claimed No. 1 doubles with a 8-6 victory over Elvyn Nguyen and Enzo Simon.
Mason Vice and
Hugo Stroppiana got the No. 2 doubles win with a 9-8 victory over Ben Griedelbach and Tim Fischer.
Terrier also claimed the victory at No. 1 singles, defeating Akanit Pumjit in three sets 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Stroppiana clamed the victory at No. 2 singles, defeating Nguyen in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.
Delta State returns to action on Saturday, March 9, as the Statesmen travel to The University of Alabama in Huntsville for a Gulf South Conference match. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
