MONTEVALLO, ALA. - The Delta State University men's tennis team fell 3-4 to Montevallo on Friday, April. 26 in Montevallo, Ala. The Statesmen move to 10-7 and 4-6 on the season.
Hugo Stoppiana and
Mason Vice claimed DSU's only double victory at No.3 doubles with a 6-3 win over Milan Ludlage and Brecht Van Buggenhout.
Terrier opened singles play with a 4-6,6-3,7-5 victory at No.1 over Trompler.
Stoppiana claimed DSU's second singles victory at No.2 with a 6-6,6-4 victory over Dahlin.
Sousa claimed DSU's No. 5 singles with a 6-1,6-4 win over Rauch.
The Statesmen return to action on Thursday, May 2, as Delta State travels to Montgomery, ALA. As they take on the No. 3 seed The University of West Alabama. Statesmen enter into the Gulf South Tournament as the No.6 seed. Match time is set for 1:30 p.m.
