CLEVELAND, Miss.- The Delta State University women's soccer team is scheduled to host two Sunshine State schools as a part of the GSC/SSC Classic this weekend at Delta State. The Lady Statesmen will play Florida Tech and Florida Southern as a part of the classic while the other Gulf South Conference school participating will be Union University.

INSIDE THE SERIES: This will be the second time that the Lady Statesmen and Panthers of Florida Tech will play in a game. Last year down in Melbourne, Fla., DSU lost 4-0 to the Panthers. This will also be the second time the Green and White will play Florida Southern in its history. Last season in Lakeland, Fla., the Lady Statesmen tied FSC 1-1.
 
LAST TIME OUT:  Delta State tied its opening game of the year to Missouri S&T by a final score of 1-1. They had to come back from a deficit to earn the tie. 
Anoucke Baas scored on a penalty kick to earn the draw in the 86
th minute.
 
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS: Florida Tech comes into the game with a 0-2 record. They opened the season with a loss at home to Flagler College by a score of 1-0. Then they dropped another home match to Colorado Christian. Last season Florida Tech went 8-9-1 on the season.
 
Florida Southern is 2-0 on the season coming into this weekend. They have already beaten GSC school Shorter 1-0 and beat Georgia College 1-0 as well. Their game against Valdosta State was postponed due to Hurricane Dorian. Last season FSC went 5-10-1.
