ATLANTA, Ga – The Delta State University Statesmen and Lady Statesmen Swim and Dive teams dropped a coupled of dual meets on Saturday morning in Atlanta. The Statesmen lost to Division III powerhouse Emory, while the Lady Statesmen fell to Emory and West Florida.

Inside The Ropes:

• The Lady Statesmen "A" 200 yard medley team of Madelyn Byrd, Madison Lavoie, Lucia Martelli, and Celeste Turner won with a time of 1:46:21
• The Statesmen 200 yard medley relay team of Giulio Brugnoni, Savio Ragonesi, Emanuel Fava, and Daniyyl Gayuk took second with a time of 1:32:79.
• Isabella Kelly came in third in the 1000 free with a time f 10:36:08
• John Stewart took second in the 1650 free in 9:59:27.
• Celeste Turner Turner won the 200 yard free with a time of 1:54:29.
• Brugnoni once again won the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.34
• Madison Lavoie took second in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:06:93.
• Ragonesi won the men's 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 57.71.
• Turner took second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06:42.
• Carson Traylor finished in second in the 200 butterfly on the men's side in 1:54:42
• Lucia Martelli came in third in the 100 free with a time of 53.32.
• Gayuk took second as well in the men's 100 free in 47.35
• Fava won the men's 200 backstroke in 1:51:87.
• Lavoie continued to win in the 200 breaststroke winning by over two seconds over second place with a time of 2:22:57.
• Ragonesi also won the men's 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:05:33.
• Martelli won the 100 butterfly in 56.37.
• Brugnoni swept the backstroke events winning the 100 in 49.93.
• The men's 200 free relay team took second in 1:24:97.

On The Boards:

• Gillian Pratt scored 222 in the one meter dive and finished in fourth
• Jawone Blankenship had a score of 236.90 in the men's one meter and came in second.
• Pratt also had 228.55 in the three meter and Megan Black had 173.20 to come in fourth and fifth respectively.
• Blankenship took second in the 3 meter dive as well with a score for 245.80.
