CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Hunter Riggins tossed a three-hit shutout to lead the Delta State University baseball team to a 10-0 win in eight innings over Auburn University at Montgomery on Friday night at Harvey Stadium-Ferriss Field.
Riggins scattered three hits over eight innings with four strikeouts against two walks in his second complete game this year. Offensively,
Myles Christian went 3-for-4 with two RBI while
Kevin Granger and
Chad Ragland had two RBI apiece for the Statesmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Statesmen jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third. Jake Barlow walked and scored on a Darek Sargent single. Wyatt Pratt walked and came in to score when Kevin Granger walked with the bases loaded. Sargent then scored on a Ragland sacrifice fly.
- Delta State's lead grew to 5-0 in the fourth. Christian and Granger led the inning off with singles. Ragland then singled home Christian and Granger scored on a Jared Cramer single.
- Christian doubled home Sargent, who reached on an error, to move the lead to 6-0 in the fifth.
- Landon Roberts drew a walk and trotted home when Granger was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the seventh to tack on another DSU run.
- The Green-and-White scored twice in the eighth to end the game by the NCAA mercy rule. Hayden White launched a solo home run to left field to lead off the frame and Cramer walked and scored on a Christian single to right center.
ON THE MOUND
- Riggins (3-2) scattered three hits while striking out four against two walks in eight innings pitched to earn the win.
- AUM starter Micah Henderson (2-2) yielded five runs on five hits with three strikeouts and five walks as the pitcher of record for AUM.
- AUM used eight pitchers in the game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Christian went 3-for-4 with two RBIs while Kevin Granger and Chad Ragland had two RBI apiece for the Statesmen offensively.
- White's eighth-inning home run was his second home of the season, tying him with Christian, Sargent and Barlow for the team lead.
- Cramer finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and Wyatt Pratt had a pair of hits and a run scored.
- Roberts, Ragland, Sargent and Roberts had a hit apiece in DSU's 10-hit attack.
- The win snapped a five-game losing streak and a three-game GSC skid for the Statesmen.
