ARKADELPHIA, Ark.. -- The Delta State University men's tennis team opened the 2021 season with a 5-2 win over host Ouachita Baptist University on Friday afternoon at the Ward Tennis Center.

DOUBLES: 

• Emile Le Terrier and Trey Seymour (DSU) began their third year as a doubles team with a 6-1 win over Santiago Kearney and Francisco Oliveira (OBU) 6-1.
• Mason Vice and Hugo Stroppiana (DSU) were defeated by Carlos Solorzano and Tobias Fuershuss (UAH) 4-6.
• Come Bracaval and Leo De Sousa (DSU) also won, due to default.

SINGLES

• Le Terrier (DSU) dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Kearney (OBU).
• Stroppiana (DSU) fell to Oliveira (OBU) on court two 6-1, 6-7, and 0-1.
• De Sousa (DSU) made quick work of Foercuss (OBU) 6-4, 6-3.
• Seymour (DSU) won the first match against Solorzano (OBU) 6-1, 6-3.
• Bracaval (DSU), a two-time GSC freshman of the week selection last year, blanked Sanchis Fito 6-0, 6-0. 
• Emiliano Elizarraraz del Arco (DSU) won by default.
