ARKADELPHIA, Ark.. -- The Delta State University men's tennis team moved to 3-0 on the campaign after a 4-3 win against Southern Arkansas University late Sunday morning at the Ward Tennis Center.

The Statesmen, who swept the Ouachita Baptist Invitational with the win, have now won 12 consecutive matches dating back to the start of last season.

DOUBLES: 

• Emile Le Terrier and Trey Seymour (DSU) did not finish their match against Sander Jans and Sofiane Bah (SAU), which sat at 5-5, due to other matches finishing before theirs.
• Mason Vice and Hugo Stroppiana (DSU) were defeated by Marko Nikolivk and Yuri Gondouin (SAU) 6-4.
• Come Bracaval and Leo De Sousa (DSU) were taken down by Ole Valkysor and Gabe Breilenmoser (SAU) 6-2.

SINGLES

• Stroppiana (DSU) moved up to the No. 1 position and defeated Gondouin (SAU) in a three-set battle 6-2, 3-6, and 6-2.
• Le Terrier (DSU) fell 5-7, 5-7 to Jans (SAU).
• De Sousa (DSU) remained undefeated on the year, as he beat Nikolivk (SAU) 6-1, 6-1.
• Seymour (DSU) defeated Breilenmoser (SBU) 7-6, 4-6, and 7-5.
• Bracaval (DSU) had two long sets, but defeated Bah (SAU) 7-5, 6-4 to clinch the match. 
• Emiliano Elizarraraz del Arco (DSU) fell 6-1, 6-1 against Valkver (SAU).

The Statesmen are scheduled to host their home opener against the Choctaws of Mississippi College on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club.
