HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The University of Alabama Huntsville tallied a goal in the 59th minute to earn a 1-0 win over Delta State University men's soccer team at Charger Park on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Statesmen had the first scoring chance of the game, but Pablo López-Melús shot was turned away by UAH keeper Ethan Haworth in the 16th minute.
- Mattis Kloepper saved two shots by the Chargers' Rafa Marano and Jose Bannwart in the 29th minute.
- Eldi Seiti and Tom Toulson had shots on goal over during the 31st minute that was saved by Haworth.
- Shots were even 5-5 but the Statesmen held a 3-2 advantage in shots on goal as the first half ended tied 0-0.
- Kloepper stopped a Connor Young but Young was able to score off the rebound to give UAH a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute.
- The Statesmen managed to get off five shots in the first half, none on target, and two were blocked.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kloepper finished with three saves.
- UAH goalkeeper had three saves all in the first half.
- The Chargers had a 12-10 edge in shots and had five corners to DSU's one.
- Toulson led the Statesmen with three shots with one shot on goal.
