ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- Behind nine event wins, the Delta State University women's swimming and diving team secured a 156-85 win over Ouachita Baptist University on Saturday morning.
This was the first meeting between the two teams in Arkansas since the 2017-18 season. With the victory, the Lady Statesmen improve to 3-1 in dual meets on the young season.

INSIDE THE ROPES
- The Lady Statesmen started the meet with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, as Madelyn Byrd, Madison Lavoie, Celeste Turner, and Martina Rossetti swam a 4:01.72.
- In the women's 200-yard freestyle, Turner posted a 1:58.44 to capture the win.
- Delta State's Dani Solkow raced to a time of 25.00 in the 50-yard freestyle to earn another Lady Statesmen win.
- Lavoie was able to capture first in the 400-yard individual medley, while Turner got her second event win in the 100-yard freestyle.
- Freshman Jamie Glover edged teammate Bella Kelly with a 5:23.41 to take home first in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Lavoie secured her second event win of the morning in the 200-yard breaststroke to round out the swimming event wins for Delta State.
