Lady Statesmen Chase Down the Chargers

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. - The Delta State University women's soccer team made it three consecutive wins to open the season on Saturday night with a 2-0 victory of the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • UAH had the first shot of the night, which was from Carmen Endicott, in the first eight minutes.
  • Carra Hymel took the first shot for the Lady Statesmen within the first 20 minutes.
  • DSU controlled the first half offensively.
  • A slow start to the second half leads to a massive goal from Rylee McGee.
  • Diana Okechukwu seals the deal with the 2-0 goal to pull away.
