CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team used a walk-off opportunity to complete a comeback and win the game against the University of West Alabama.
Jenny Griggers hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Tigers 4-1 at University Field in Cleveland.

How It Happened:
- UWA took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second after a Peyton Coots scored on a SAC-Fly by Nicole Buccierri.
- In the bottom of the second, Taylor Picou hit a solo homerun to left field which tied the game 1-1.
- Kailyn Lofton and Reagan Stafford were both stranded in scoring position in th bottom of the fifth.
- In the bottom of the seventh, DSU would seal the 4-1 victory behind the three run walk off home-run from Jenny Grigger which also scored Summer Cryder and Raegan Stafford.
In the Circle:
- Lacey Coats (8-2) would go the complete game and earn the win. Coats gave up one run off two hits in seven innings.
- Kacy Noland (4-2) would start for UWA. Noland gave up four runs off of five hits in six and a third innings.
NOTABLES
- Griggers etched her first career walk-off homerun in the win.
