Box Score CLEVELAND, Miss. – Delta State University Women's Soccer (9-5-2 overall, 6-3-2 GSC) and Christian Brothers (8-5-3, 5-4-2) were both kept off the scoreboard in the first half and matched each other's second half performances as well in the 2-2 final decision on Sunday afternoon. Senior Day 2022 saw five Lady Statesmen recognized for their accomplishments at Delta State, including Hannah James, Abbie Richeson, Rainey Niles, Ilse Holtkamp, and Rylee McGee. Fifth-year senior Madison Lafontaine was recognized in last year's ceremony.

The Lady Statesmen struck first on a goal by Poppy Derhun at 59:29, and then again at 71:36 on a goal from Robyn Moody to take a 2-0 lead. However, the Lady Bucs had thier own two-goal run with makes from Cheyenne Smith and Lily Harrison at 74:16 and 76:56 respectively.
 
Delta State led in total shots 17-6, with 7 of those shots on goal. Lady Statesmen goalkeeper Bailey Daughtery recorded 2 goals against and a save in her 90 minutes of action.

The Lady Statesmen are on the road next weekend as they end the regular season with two more conference games. They will kickoff Friday at 7:30 pm as they take on West Florida from Pensacola, FL. Sunday's game is a 1 pm kickoff from Mobile, AL against Spring Hill College.
