CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Hayden White belted two home runs and collected six RBI to lead the Delta State University baseball team to an 18-12 win over Mississippi College on Sunday at Harvey Stadium at Ferriss Field.
Kirkland Trahan swatted two home runs with a double and three RBI as the Statesmen swept the three-game series from the Choctaws.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hayden White highlighted a four-run second with a two-run home run giving the Statesmen a 4-0 lead in the second.
- Caleb Reese's two-RBI double and a Lane Willis RBI single highlighted a four-run third to tie the game at 4-4.
- Kirkland Trahan hit a solo and a two-run home run, and White added a two-run shot to highlight an eight-run third and give the Statesmen a 12-4 lead.
- The Statesmen put up a six-spot the fourth to take an 18-4 lead. Hayden Cooper had a two-run single, and Carson Clowers registered an RBI double.
- Mississippi College scored three runs in the top of the fifth to win the seventh, three runs in the eighth, and one in the ninth to trim the DSU lead to 18-13.
ON THE MOUND
- Evan Bynum (1-0) gave up one hit in a scoreless inning of relief to pick up the win.
