MONTGOMERY, ALA. -- The Delta State University men's tennis team battled to take the doubles point in a tight match against eighth-ranked Valdosta State University, but the Blazers prevailed in the singles matches to advance to the Gulf South Conference Championship.

The doubles team of Franco Roldan and Jordan Hays took down the No. 1 doubles team in the country, edging Valdsota's Luca Mack and Rodrigo Carvalho (7-6 (8-6)).
