Statesmen Baseball Alumni Weekend. September 22-23, 2023
I would like to personally invite you and your family to Statesmen Baseball Alumni Weekend, September 22-23, 2023. We hope all former players, coaches, managers, trainers, and their families can be with us for this special event. This is a great opportunity to visit friends, recall fond memories, receive updates and connect with the Delta State program.
For each of us, it is a great honor to be a part of the Statesman Baseball Tradition. The reunion attendance has grown each year and our sense of family continues to spread throughout each generation. We need your help to contact former teammates and let them know we want to see them here. We want all of our Delta State Baseball family together!
We have scheduled a full two days of activities that you and your family can enjoy. We will begin with our golf tournament on Friday afternoon at the Cleveland Country Club. That night there will be a baseball scrimmage with the 2023-2024 team, along with a Baseball Alumni Social hosted by the Delta State Alumni Association at 7 pm at Ferriss Field. On Saturday, you can visit campus and our baseball facilities, attend a luncheon in Wyatt Physical Education Center, and enjoy our Baseball Alumni game.
This year we will do something different with our game. We will have father/son participation. If anyone has a son they would like to play alongside them, that will be welcomed. The day concludes with a pregame tailgate prior to Statesmen Football against Shorter in Statesmen Park.
This weekend will be in conjunction with our annual Pig Pickin festivities.

6:00 p.m. Baseball Scrimmage
7:00 p.m. Baseball Alumni Social | Ferriss Field
September 23 10:30 a.m. Registration/Luncheon at Wyatt Gym (reserve your tickets with enclosed form)
1:00 p.m. Baseball Alumni Game
4:00 p.m. Tailgating at Statesmen Park/Pig Pickin Opens
6:00 p.m. Football: Delta State vs. Shorter (Parker Field @McCool Stadium)
All reservations are needed by Tuesday, September 12. Return the enclosed form by mail/email promptly with checks payable to DSU Baseball. Luncheon reservations will be held for your arrival at registration.
