CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University Men's Soccer team hosted Spring Hill College for their Gulf South Conference opener. Arturo Riestra scored the opening goal of the game in the 20^th minute of the game. The Statesmen would go into the half leading the Badgers 1-0. Spring Hill scored their first goal of the match in the 55^th minute by Izan Leal to tie the game at 1-1. Jack Ambrose scored the deciding goal for the Badgers to make it 2-1 as they held on for the win.
