CLEVELAND, Miss. – Delta State University baseball has released its 2025 schedule, and fans have plenty of opportunities to see the Statesmen at Harvey Stadium-Ferriss Field this season.
The Statesmen begin the season in Florida with three games against tough Sunshine State Conference opponents Palm Beach Atlantic, Nova Southeastern, and Lynn. They will play three games in as many days at as many locations.
Opening weekend, Feb. 8 and 9, at Harvey Stadium-Ferriss Field sparks a seven-game home stretch to start the season and features a three-game series with Spring Hill, followed by a mid-week game with Southern Arkansas and conference-opening weekend on Feb. 14 and 15 against Lee University.
The non-conference schedule features Spring Hill, Southern Arkansas, Ouachita Baptist, Henderson State, Arkansas-Monticello, Arkansas Tech, and Harding. The home conference schedule includes Lee, Union, Valdosta, Alabama-Huntsville, Trevecca Nazarene, and Auburn-Montgomery.
Head Coach
Rodney Batts said the 2025 schedule will be no different than years past in terms of strength of schedule. "This year's schedule will be a challenge from the start. Our conference schedule is always a challenge from top to bottom and playing the GAC schools in Arkansas for midweek games, which contend for conference and regional championships every year, only makes our entire schedule that much more difficult."
The Gulf South Conference tournament will be held May 2-6 in Oxford, Ala., at Choccolocco Park. The NCAA Division II South Regional tournament is scheduled for May 15-18, followed by Super Regionals May 23-25 and the World Series June 1-7.
