BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior defender Ava Webster is named the second team Gulf South Conference All-Conference defender this afternoon by the conference office.
 
Webster is the first Lady Statesmen to earn the honor since 2022 when midfielder Rainey Niles earned second team All-GSC for the second consecutive season.
 
Webster led the team with nine points on four goals and one assist in the regular season. She was a part of a defensive back line that only allowed 1.2 goals per game.
 
Webster and the Lady Statesmen earned the sixth seed in the GSC Postseason Tournament as they will travel to Jackson, Tenn., this Sunday to face off against the three-seeded Bulldogs from Union. That match will start at 1:00 p.m. (CDT).
