Cleveland, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for a double-header with Ouachita Baptist.
Audry Rumsey drew the start for the Lady Statesmen in game one. DSU scored their first run in the top of the first inning with
Bailey Way driving in
Raegan Stafford. OBU scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take a 4-1 lead. The Green and White added one run in the fourth and two in the fifth inning. The Tigers added two more runs in the game to defeat DSU 6-4 in game one.
Morgan Grubb drew the start for game two for the Lady Statesmen. OBU scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to take the early lead. Grubb settled down after the first inning, not allowing another run until the bottom of the seventh. DSU scored three runs in the game to defeat the Tigers 3-2.
