CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Lady Statesmen fall in the series to Montevallo with two losses in Saturday's doubleheader. The Green & White picked up 22 hits between the final two games of the series against the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
- The Falcons win 17-8 in six innings after plating at least one run in each inning. The Lady Statesmen plated five runs in the second inning, including two home runs by Bailey Way and Sydney Pevey. The Lady Statesmen scored three more runs in the fourth in three straight at-bats from Calli McConnell, Emma Collier, and Kyleigh Wheaton.
Game Two
- The Lady Statesmen led 6-2 after two innings, but a five-run sixth inning by Montevallo propelled them to a 10-6 win in the series finale. The Lady Statesmen out-hit the Falcons 11-10 in the final game. An Abbi Cataldo sac bunt with one out allowed Raegan Stafford to score the first DSU run in the first inning. Wheaton hit an RBI single in the second to score McConnell just before Wheaton homered to score McConnell and Collier. Stafford singled to reach base before MyCala Helms hit the second DSU home run of the second inning.
