HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Florida stranded a leadoff walk in the first. Sydney Pevey hit a single with two outs and scored when Kyleigh Wheaton homered to left in the next at-bat. 2-0 Delta State after one.
- UWF tied the game in the top of the second on two separate RBI doubles. Abbi Cataldo regained the lead for the Lady Statesmen with a leadoff homer to left center. 3-2 Delta State after two.
- The Argonauts scored 14 runs in the top of the third off of nine hits and an error. Wheaton and Cataldo were walked, and Lany Daigrepont was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Lindsey Coffey, who then hit a grand slam over the right field wall. 16-7 UWF after three.
- West Florida went in order in the fourth as MyCala Helms hit a leadoff homer in the DSU half of the inning. 16-8 UWF after four.
- The Argos stranded a runner in the fifth after a two-out single. Coffey also hit a two-out single for the Lady Statesmen. 16-8 UWF final.
