THE TEAMS
#6 Delta State
The Statesmen are making their 33rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament after finishing runner-up in the 2024 GSC Tournament. They head to St. Leo with a 32-22 overall record and went 19-11 in GSC play.
The Statesmen have hoisted the national championship trophy once in program history. That 2004 team was recently honored with a 20th Anniversary weekend at Ferriss Field in DSU's regular-season finale.

#3 Embry-Riddle
The Eagles finished fourth in the SSC in 2024 with a 31-19 overall record and a 17-13 mark in Sunshine State Conference Play. The Eagles and Statesmen have faced several common opponents this season in Montevallo, Alabama-Huntsville, Valdosta State, and Lynn. Delta State was 7-6 in games against those teams this season compared to Embry-Riddle's 6-2 showing, but the GSC's Auburn-Montgomery also took 2 of 3 from the Eagles.
The Eagles are searching for their first national championship in program history.

#2 Saint Leo
The Lions finished second overall in the Sunshine State Conference to earn the two-seed host site in the South Region. SLU finished 38-11 overall and 21-9 in SSC play and was the 6th-ranked team in the final NCBWA National Poll.
The Lions will be on the hunt for their first national championship in program history.

#7 West Florida
The Argonauts won their second consecutive GSC Tournament last week to secure a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Argos finished 32-21 overall and went 17-13 in GSC play.
The Argonauts have one baseball national championship win in 2011.
