CLEVELAND, MISS. – The Delta State University women's swimming and diving team fell in a Dual Meet Friday (Sept. 27) afternoon to the University of Alabama by a 217.5-44.5 final score.
 
The Lady Statesmen got production out of freshman Zinna Nimander. Nimander produced 10.5 points as she finished at a tie for second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.65. Nimander also finished in third in the 100-yard freestyle as she was clocked at 52.19.
 
In the 1-meter dive, senior Reagan Fulton finished in third with a score of 188.18.
 
Junior Hannah Murray contributed to eight points for the Lady Statesmen with a third-place finish in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:10.59.
 
Sophomore Ave Owens contributed seven points on the afternoon as she finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.31.
