BATON ROUGE, La. – The Delta State University Women's Swimming and Diving Team traveled to Baton Rouge to face Louisiana State University and the University of Cincinnati Saturday.
The Lady Statesmen battled but fell to LSU 218-72 and to Cincinnati 248-48.
On the diving boards, senior
Reagan Fulton would top her seeded score in the one-meter dive with a score of 205.58.
Freshman
Zinna Nimander battled in the 50-yard freestyle finishing with a 24.23 time in the meet.
Fellow Freshman
Julia Maciak would get her career/season best time in the 200-yard freestyle with a sub 2:00 time of 1:59.38.
To finish the meet the 400-yard freestyle relay team would take third in the meet with a time of 3:37.78.
Junior
Hannah Murray finished fifth in the 200-yard back stroke with a time of 2:29.99.
In the 400-yard individual medley,
Julia Santiago finished fourth with a time of 4:55.94.
The Lady Statesmen will return to the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center next weekend as they will have their senior weekend with a two-day meet against the Tigers from Ouachita Baptist.
