Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen women's soccer team (5-5-4, 4-3-3 GSC) will wrap up the regular season this weekend with two matches on the road.
The Lady Statesmen will start the weekend on Friday in Valdosta, GA at 6:00 PM CT to face off against the Valdosta State Blazers (4-7-4, 2-6-1 GSC). Following this match, the Lady Statesmen will head to Montgomery, AL to play a match against the Warhawks of Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) (1-11-2, 0-8-2 GSC)
The Lady Statesmen are currently tied for fifth in the GSC and need one tie or win to clinch a spot in the GSC Postseason Tournament.
Scouting the Lady Statesmen:
- The Lady Statesmen are shooting over 16 shots per game, with a 58% shot on goal percentage.
- 11 Lady Statesmen have scored this year, while Millie Congerton leads the team with 11 points on five goals and one assist. Congerton also has three game-winning goals this season.
- Piper Burgess has increased her total saves to 34 and looks to continue dominating this weekend.

- Aisling Roche leads the team with four points on two goals.
- Karla Guzman-Ortiz has started every game between the posts. She has allowed 40 goals while racking up 103 saves on the season.
