CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University Football Coach
Todd Cooley and his staff announced 13 incoming members sign the dotted line for today's Signing Day. All 13 members will be joining the Green and White in the spring '26 semester after competing in the competitive Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC).
The members of this signing class are listed below
Travis Bendolph | Defensive Tackle | Mobile, Ala. | Pearl River Community College
Bendolph looks to join a talented Statesmen defensive line out of Pearl River Community College where he lead the Wildcats with 57 total tackles in his redshirt freshman season. Bendolph also tallied eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Broke up two passes from his defensive tackle position. Tallied an incredible 13 tackles in week five against Gulf Coast.
Curtis Brown | Linebacker | Canton, Miss. | Northeast Community College
Brown joins a the tough bend but don't break Statesmen defense after playing one season at Northeast Community College. As a Tiger, Brown played in nine games where he had 24 total tackles, two TFLs and 1.5 sacks. Brown had a career high game in Northeast's 45-7 win against Coahoma where he totaled five tackles.
London Butler | Offensive Lineman | Clarksdale, Miss. | Copiah-Lincoln Community College
Butler returns to the Delta after playing two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln on the offensive line. As a Wolf, Butler played in a total of 17 games where he helped lead an offense that totaled 361.5 yards per game and scored 31 points per game in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Kannon Cato | Wide Receiver | New Hebron, Miss. | Copiah-Lincoln Community College
Cato joins the Statesmen Wide Receiver room from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. As a Wolf, Cato has played in 15 games in two seasons for the Blue and White. The New Hebron native collected a two-touchdown performance in a 39-7 win against Pearl River.
Keenan Franks | Running Back | State Line, Miss. |Pearl River Community College
Keenan Franks will add depth to the Statesmen Running Back room from Pearl River Community College. As a Wildcat, Franks totaled 1328 yards on the ground in two seasons with 12 touchdowns. In the 2025 season, Franks had a standout performance with a 181 yards on the ground and a touchdown against No. 4 Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Elijah Johnson | Cornerback | Columbus, Miss. | Northeast Community College
Johnson will join the Statesmen defensive backfield after playing in eight games this season at Northeast Community College. As a tiger, the Columbus native had 11 total tackles (eight solo) and a career high performances against Northwest Community College and Copiah-Lincoln Community College
BJ Johnson | Wide Receiver | Leaksville, Miss. | Holmes Community College
BJ Johnson will join the wide receiver room at DSU after playing in nine games in the 2025 season at Holmes Community College. The Leakesville native hauled in 31 receptions for 362 yards and four touchdowns. Johnson had a two-touchdown performance in Holmes' 53-14 win against Coahoma.
Detrick Munford | Defensive Tackle | Greenwood, Miss. | Jones College
Munford will mark another Defensive Tackle to return to the Delta after playing in 17 games at Jones College. As a Bobcat, Munford totaled 31 tackles 2.5 for a loss and two sacks. Munford had his best performance against Hinds where he had four tackles and ½ of a TFL.
Joshua Myers | Offensive Lineman | Hattiesburg, Miss. | Pearl River Community College
Myers joins the Statesmen Offensive line after playing in 18 games during his two seasons at Pearl River Community College. As a Wildcat, Myers helped pave the way for the Wildcats as they averaged 332.4 total yards per game throughout his Junior College career.
PJ Pace | Cornerback | Kosciusko, Miss. | Holmes Community College
PJ Pace will join the Delta State defensive backfield after a solid season at Holmes in 2025. The Kosciusko native totaled 27 tackles and six pass breakups as a cornerback. Against Jones, Pace had his season best six tackles with a pass breakup. Pace also had a three-pass breakup performance against Itawamba.
Mike Phillips | Defensive Back | Jackson, Miss. | Pearl River Community College
Mike Phillips joins the defensive backfield at Delta State after a two-year career at Pearl River Community College in the MACCC South. The Jackson native had a total of 35 tackles two TFLs and two pass breakups. Phillips had five total tackles, all being solo tackles against Itawamba and a five tackle one pass breakup performance against Mississippi Gulf Coast.
DaQuavion Thompson | Defensive Back | Jackson, Miss. | Hinds Community College
Thompson joins the Defensive Backfield at Delta State after playing multiple duties at Hinds Community College in the 2025 season. The Jackson native had a three-tackle performance against Mississippi Delta and Pearl River. Thompson also returned a punt for a touchdown against East Central in Hinds' 48-2 win.
Jekerious Williams | Wide Receiver | Grenada, Miss. | Holmes Community College
Jekerious Williams served as a two-way player for the Bulldogs in the 2025 season. Williams had five total tackles as a defensive back but had more time on the field as a receiver. On the offensive end, Williams had 32 catches for 327 yards in the 2025 season.
