LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Delta State University Men's Tennis Team (2-8, 0-2 GSC) fell on the road against the Tigers from the University of West Alabama 6-1 this afternoon at Vaughan Tennis Complex in Livingston, Ala.
 
In no. 1 singles action Hector Ortiz defeated ITA no. 53 ranked Eita Ishikawa in straight sets (6-1, 6-2) to earn a point for DSU.
 
In no. 2 doubles the team of Harry Browning and Andrej Komnenic fell in a tight 7-6 decision.
 
The Statesmen are back on the court this weekend as they travel to Pensacola, Fla., to take on the No. 3 ranked Blazers from Valdosta State University Friday afternoon. The Statesmen will follow that up with a match against the Bobcats from Georgia College & State University.
