MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Delta State University Women's Tennis Team (0-11, 0-4 GSC) fell to the Falcons from the University of Montevallo (5-3, 2-2 GSC) 5-2 Thursday afternoon at the University of Montevallo's Tennis Court Complex.
 
The Lady Statesmen won the doubles point as the no. 2 team of Angie Moreno and Lara Torres won against the team of Kiara Podskubkova and Claire Jaramba 6-2, and the no. 3 team of Maria Caride and Weronika Kaczmarska defeated the team of Erika Freire and Latizia Bojara 6-4.
 
In singles action, Yasmina Mayer won the no.3 singles match in exciting fashion defeating Jaramba in three sets (6-1, 4-6, 7-5).
 
The Lady Statesmen continue their three-game road trip as they travel to Cleveland, Tenn., to take on the Lady Flames from Lee University tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
