CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University Athletics inducted the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 on Friday, March 20 in E.R. Jobe Auditorium. This year's class featured softball, football, baseball, and swimming and diving.

Glenn Davis (1978-81) coached for the Statesmen football program under coaches Don Denning and Johnny Plummer. Davis is a 1981 graduate where he was a three-year letterman as a defensive back and outside linebacker. With 21 years at the helm of the Copiah-Lincoln football team, the longest consecutive tenure of any current coach in the MACCC, Davis led the Wolves to an MACJC State Runner-Up four times and the MACJC state title in 2012. He was named MACJC Coach of the Year in 2006, 2012, 2014, and 2018, and MACCC South Coach of the Year in 2023.

Cedrick Matthews (1995-96) played guard for Statesmen Basketball and garnered All-GSC honors in 1995 and 1996. He was named the league's Co-MVP in 1996 and recorded career-high 32 points twice during the 1995 season. He ranks 7th all-time in Delta State men's basketball history for three-pointers (139).

Jeff McClaskey (1984-85) played for the Statesmen Baseball program under legendary coach Dave "Boo" Ferriss. With stops at Hinds Community College and Porter's Chapel High School, McClaskey spent 31 years as head baseball coach and Athletic Director at Northwest Rankin High School where he amassed 865 wins and 19 district championships. He was named National High School and Mississippi High School Coach of the Year in 2005.

Alyce Meador Marshburn (2008-11) swam for the Lady Statesmen swim and dive program and was named Most Valuable Swimmer in 2011. She garnered All American honors in 2009 and 2010 in the butterfly. Meador set conference records for 100 backstroke (2009 and 2010), 100 fly (2009), and 200 medley relay (2008). She has the seventh fastest time in Delta State history in the 100 fly and 9th fastest time in the 100 back.

John Polles (2001-05) played baseball for the Statesmen for five seasons. He garnered All Region honors and was named First Team All-GSC and GSC West Division Freshman of the Year in 2001. The right-handed pitcher ranks 3rd in career appearances (64) and career strikeouts (258) and tied for 4th in career wins (29).

Brad Radford (1997-2001) swam for the Statesmen swim and dive program where he garnered All American honors in the 200 butterfly and 800 freestyle relay in 2001. Radford was an NCAA Division II qualifier in back-to-back seasons (1998-99). During his four-year career, he was an Honorable Mention All-American nine times in seven different events and set an NSISC conference record in the 200 fly and 200 individual medley in 1998.

Sammie St. Hilaire Pirruccello (2005-08) pitched for the Lady Statesmen and was a four-time All-Gulf South Conference selection, including GSC Freshman of the Year in 2005. She is ranked in several pitching categories in Delta State's softball record book: 37 appearances (5th), 188 innings pitching (7th) and 21 wins (4th) all in a single season in 2005.

Jimmy Wilson (1987-90) played linebacker for Statesmen Football in the late 80s and was chosen as an All-GSC selection in 1989 and 1990. He ranks first in single season tackles (151) and second in career tackles (335).
