Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Baseball team (15-13, 10-8 GSC) will head to the Rocket City for the weekend with a big GSC weekend upcoming. The Statesmen will face the Chargers of Alabama-Huntsville (13-15, 9-9 GSC).
Game one will be played at 3:00 PM on Friday. Games two and three will be played in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Michael Gross will provide the radio broadcast on the Statesmen Sports Radio Network with the pregame show starting at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Scouting the Statesmen:
- The Statesmen look to gain some confidence and momentum from this weekend series, kicking off the second half of the season.
- Tucker Jones continues to be a spark for the Statesmen offense. On the season, he has driven in 32 runs on six home runs and four doubles. He is 20-20 on stolen base attempts.
- Austin Batts has been red hot at the plate, going 3-3 during the midweek game at Southern Arkansas. He looks to continue his seven-game hit streak this weekend.
- Ryan Herbison has been a great long relief arm out of the bullpen this season. On 17.2 innings, he has a 4.58 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
Scouting the Chargers:
- After salvaging game three vs. West Florida, the Chargers went into AUM with some momentum and got the sweep last weekend. The Chargers are on a five-game win streak going into the weekend hosting the Statesmen.
- Caleb Mahan leads the Chargers offensively. He posts a .414 batting average on six extra base hits and 22 RBIs.
- Cole Loftis has been the best arm on the mound for the Chargers this season. On eight starts and 39 innings pitched, he posts a 4.62 ERA while striking out 42.
