Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University Statesmen Baseball Team (11-5, 7-2 GSC) will host the Bucs of Christian Brothers University (4-14, 0-9 GSC) this weekend in a Gulf South Conference three-game series.
Due to inclement weather in Saturday's forecast, the games have been rescheduled. The Statesmen and the Bucs will play a double-header on Friday starting at 2 PM. There will be a single game played Sunday at 2 PM.

Scouting the Statesmen:
- Delta State looks to bounce back from a 10-2 loss Tuesday night at Henderson State. The Statesmen are in a tie for third in the GSC with a 7-2 GSC record while holding a 11-5 overall record.
- Delta State is currently receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's (NCBWA) poll and are ranked 22nd in the American Baseball Coaches' Association poll.
- Adrian Byrd continues to dominate on the mound. In 27 innings pitched, he posts a 3-0 record and a 1.33 ERA on 30 strikeouts.
- Jones leads the Statesmen with 15 RBIs on 22 hits, one double, and one home run.
Scouting the Bucs:
- Christian Brothers enters this weekend riding a two-game winning streak after sweeping the Dragons from Lane College in a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday in Memphis.
- Cameron Olivo leads the Bucs with 22.1 innings pitched. He posts a 2.82 ERA with nine walks and 13 strikeouts.
- Isaac Lemanski leads the Bucs at the plate with a .407 batting average on 24 hits and five doubles.
- Jackson Licata and Shahkai Matthews each have four stolen bases. Matthews also has seven RBIs on a home run and four doubles.
