Cleveland, Miss. - The Delta State University baseball team (20-15, 14-10 GSC) will face the Boll Weevils of Arkansas-Monticello (24-11, 19-5 GAC) in a non-conference midweek game, Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM at Boo Ferriss Field.  

This will be a rubber match between the two, after they split the previous two games against each other.  

The Voice of the Statesmen Michael Gross will provide the play-by-play on the Statesmen Sports Radio Network and on the FloCollege Network. 

Scouting the Statesmen: 

• Delta State is looking to add onto their 12-8 series finale win against Montevallo Friday afternoon at Ferriss Field. 

• The Last time these two teams met in Ferriss Field, the Statesmen came back from a seven-run deficit twice to win in walk off fashion 18-17. Tucker Jones and Jacob Hill both had four-hit performances. Jacob Palazzo walked it off with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth.  

• Tucker Jones continues to lead the Statesmen out of the two spot in the lineup. He posts a .376 batting average with 16 extra base hits and 48 RBIs. 

• Landon Holliman is hitting .345 in the lead off spot for the Statesmen. He has two home runs, five doubles, and 10 RBIs this year. 

Scouting the Boll Weevils: 

• Camden Tanner is leading the Boll Weevils offensively. He is hitting .459 on the year with 22 extra base hits and 11 home runs. 

• Elijah Olaybal and Eli Marvin each have over 40 RBIs this year. Olaybal has hit seven home runs, while Marvin has hit nine. 

• Monticello has a team ERA of 5.98 and has walked 138 batters while striking out 221.
