Adrian Byrd has added on to his postseason accolades this morning as he is the 2026 Division Two Conference Commissioners Association's South Region Pitcher of the Year. Byrd also earned first team All-South Region honors as a starting pitcher

Byrd, the NCBWA, South Region Pitcher of the Year finished the season with a 8-2 overall record with one of the lowest ERA's in the nation with a 1.52 ERA. Byrd cracked the top five in Delta State history with 113 strikeouts this season. Opponents had a .199 batting average against him.
Jones led the Statesmen in several hitting categories. The Brandon native batted .360 with 76 hits, 11 doubles, nine home runs and 65 runs driven in. Jones was one of the most dangerous baserunners in the region as he was a perfect 32-32 on stolen base attempts, leading the Gulf South Conference in that category.
Lang provided power for the Statesmen lineup in the 2026 season. The Judsonia, Ark., native held a .335 batting average with 20 extra base-hits including a team high 10 home runs. Levi drove in 50 runs in the season and held a slugging percentage of .546. Lang led the Statesmen with a .433 on base percentage.
Byrd will in the running for All-American Status plus National Pitcher of the year.
The Statesmen made their third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II South Regional as they finished the 2026 season with a 32-23 overall record.
