2016 GSC All-Tournament

2016 (Senior):  Played in 57 games with 54 starts at shortstop...hit .381 (72-for-189) with 36 runs scored, seven doubles, three home runs and 26 RBIs...walked nine times and was hit by a pitch seven times...fielded .955 with 12 errors in 265 fielding chances...had 19 multi-hit games, including two three hit outtings and three four-hit games...recorded five multi-RBI games with one four-RBI game...recorded four-hit performances against Arkansas-Monticello (3.2), Alabama Huntsville (3.20), Mississippi College (5.1)...drove in four runs against Mississippi College (5.1)...belted his first career home run against Alabama Huntsville (3.20) and homered against Shorter University (4.9) and West Florida (4.16)...had a 10-game hitting streak.

2015 (Junior):  Hit .320 in 17 games with seven starts as shortstop…had eight hits in 25 at bats with a double, two RBI and eight runs scored…went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 3-2 win over No. 6 Alabama-Huntsville (3.22)… delivered a two-out, two-run single in the ninth to put the Statesmen ahead, 9-8, en route to an 11-8 win at Lee University (4.3)…went 3-for-6 (.500) with three runs scored and two RBIs in the Lee University (3.3-4). 

JUCO: Played for Coach Antonio Siqueiros at Luna Community College in Las Vegas, New Mexico…2014 WJCAC Honorable Mention and played in the 2013 Fall TXNMJCBCA All-Star game.
 
PREP:  Attended Benjamin Harris High School in Cayey, Puerto Rico.
 
PERSONAL:  Full name is Erick Santiago…born December 21, 1992…son of Eric Santiago and Demaris Burgos…has one sister, Denise…majoring in business administration.
