2015 GSC Academic Honor Roll

2015 (Senior):  Made four appearances, all in relief…allowed six runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks for a 10.12 ERA…tossed a season-high three innings at Mississippi Valley State (4.1), allowing three runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks...tossed a scoreless inning in relief against Harding (4.7).

Arkansas-Monticello (Junior): Played the 2014 season for Arkansas-Monticello in Monticello, Arkansas…went 2-1 with one complete game in nine appearances, three starts…worked 21.1 innings with 16 strikeouts and 10 walks while allowing 14 runs on 27 hits.
 
JUCO:  Selected 2013 Most Valuable Pitcher for Coach Michael Avalon at Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, Mississippi…made 12 appearances including three starts and three complete games while posting a 4-3 record as a sophomore…recorded 32 strikeouts and walked 16 and gave up 32 runs, 24 earned, over 50.2 innings pitched.
 
High School:  Played for former Statesmen Jake Yarborough at Grenada High School in Grenada, Mississippi…was named GHS Pitcher of the Year in 2009 and 2011…graduated top 25 in a class of 264 and was inducted into the National Honor Society in 2011.
 
Personal:  Full name is Nicholas Turner Neely…born December 9, 1992…son of Lee and Melissa Neely…has one brother, Sabin, and one sister, Anna Gray…majoring in athletic training.
