FRESHMAN (2014): Maria placed 42nd with a time of 20:50 at the Fleet Feet Invitational (5K) in Huntsville, Ala. in her first race for Delta State...Finished in 11th at the DSU Invitational (5K) in Cleveland, Miss with a time of 20:53 and helped lead the Lady Statesmen to victory...In the Jacksonville State (5K), she ran a personal best time of 20:34 which beat her best time by 16 seconds while coming in 29th...Finished 91st with a time of 21:41 in the Disney Cross Country Classic.....Finished 75th in the GSC Championship with a time of 22:28.

JOLIET WEST HS: Ran cross country and track for Coach Matt Almon at Joliet West HS...Was captain of the cross country team her junior and senior year...named Track Tiger of the year (2013-14)...also played basketball at Joliet West HS.
