Biography

2019 (SENIOR): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-14 overall record and a 20-9 mark in the Gulf South Conference while winning the school's 15th GSC title and a runner-up finish in the NCAA South Region...saw action in 53 games, starting 49 in right field and two in center field...hit over .300 for a majority of the season before finishing with a .288 average (47-for-153)...contributed eight doubles, one triple and five home runs while driving in 36 runs on 38 hits...had 10 stolen bases in 11 attempts...had 11 multi-hit games and drove in multiple runs 10 times...went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI and a run scored against West Florida (3.23)...hits a two-run home run against West Georgia (3.9)...hit a solo home run to tie the game and finished with two RBI in the NCAA South 2 Regional opener against Embry-Riddle (5.16)...had two doubles, a home run, six RBI and seven runs scored in 11 postseason games...had a big outfield assist versus Valdosta State (5.3) to keep the game scoreless in the first inning of the GSC Tournament...threw out a runner at the plate in the NCAA South 2 Regional versus Valdosta State to preserve a one-run lead in the sixth inning. 

2018 (JUNIOR): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-11 record and the Gulf South Conference regular-season title with a 23-5 mark...played in 18 games as a reserve outfielder and was used in pinch-running situations...scored six and did not collect a hit in six at bats...drew a walk and was hit by a pitch two times.

JUCO: Spent two seasons at Mississippi Delta Community College, playing for coaches Michael Avalon (Freshman) and Dan Rives (Sophomore)…played in 94 career games during his two seasons in Moorhead, Miss., batting .272 with 10 doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 43 RBIs…stole 22-of-27 bases and scored 67 runs…as a freshman, hit .273 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and 16 RBIs while stealing 12-of-15 bases in 46 games…hit .272 with eight doubles, four home runs and 27 RBIs and stole 10-of-12 bases in 48 games as a sophomore…named one of the top incoming freshman in Region 23 in 2016.
 
PREP:
Played baseball for Coach Will Reed at Bayou Academy in Cleveland, Miss…had a .448 batting average and did not commit an error during his career…participated in the MAIS All-Star game and was named to MAIS All-Conference baseball team…also lettered in football, basketball and track...was a two-way player for the Colts on the gridiron…totaled 43 career tackles, 27 solo tackles, and had four interceptions…caught 40 passes for 1,078 yards and had 1,947 career all-purpose yards (1,078 rec./296 KR/157 PR/155 IR)…was Valedictorian and was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.
