Biography
2011-2012: Swam three season best times at the NSISC Championships with a 10:46.77 in the 1000-Freestyle (9th Place), a 18:23.04 in the 1650-Freestyle (10th Place), and a 2:15.91 in the 200-Backstroke. Also set season best times in the 50-Free at the Ouachita Baptist dual meet with a 27.76 and vs Henderson State in a dual meet in the 200-Freestyle with a 2:02.72.
2009-2010: Qualified for Nationals with a 10:44.33 time in the 1000 Yard Freestyle on her way to winning that event against Ouachita Baptist... Finished fifth in the 100 Yard Freestyle during the NSISC Championships while grabbing another DII "B" time of (10:40.28)... Was part of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:45.17) team that won against Emory/Wingate and won again against Ouachita Baptist (3:42.65) Took second in the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:18.95) against Emory/Wingate and would later win that event against Henderson State (5:19.26)... Won the 100 Yard (55.98) and 200 Yard (1:59.36) Freestyle against Rhodes.
PREP: Swam two years for Santiago High School under Head Coach Jeri Marshburn, her mother... All- Conference Selection... Swam distance freestyle and 200 meter backstroke... Posted top times of 18:25 on the 1,650 meter freestyle... 11:03 on 1,000 meter freestyle... 2:12 on 200 backstroke... 1:02 on 100 meter backstroke.
PERSONAL: Piper Rose Marshburn, born October 2, 1991 in Inglewood, Calif...Daughter of Jeff and Jeri Marshburn...Has one sister, Kasey...Has one brother, Tucker, who is a former swimmer for the Delta State... Majoring in Exercise Science.
