2018 (Freshman): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-11 record and the Gulf South Conference regular-season title with a 23-5 mark...made three relief appearances on the mound as a true freshman...gave up nine runs, five earned, on two hits with one strikeout and three walks over two innings pitched...had one strikeout in a scoreless inning pitched at Arkansas Monticello (3.20).

PREP: Lettered in baseball, basketball and swimming at Gulf Breeze High School in Gulf Breeze, Fla…played for Coach Kevin Ricks...went 5-1 in 10 appearances on the mound his senior year…struck out 31 batters and walked 18 while allowing 31 hits, and 12 runs, seven earned, in 36.2 innings pitched…opponents hit .220 against…hit .304 (21-of-69) with four doubles and 18 RBIs in 26 games at the plate.

PERSONAL: Austin Wines...son of Rodney and Maureen Wines...has one sister, Elizabeth… majoring in exercise science.
