Biography
2020 (SENIOR): Played in 12 games, 10 starts, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic…started 9 games at DH and one behind the plate…had a .243 average (9-for-37) with one double, a home run, five runs scored and seven RBI…went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in the season opener against East Central (2.1)…stroked a solo home run at West Florida (2.29).
2019 (JUNIOR): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-14 overall record and a 20-9 mark in the Gulf South Conference while winning the school's 15th GSC title...played in 43 games with 39 starts as designated hitter...led the team with a .324 average, belting four doubles and three home runs...drove in 23 runs and scored 19 runs...recorded 12 multi-hit games with four, three-hit outings...drove in multiple runs in three games with one four-RBI game and one three-RBI game...went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs against Montevallo (5.5) in the GSC tournament...went 3-for-4 with three RBI against Valdosta State in game one of the GSC tourney...went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI against West Georgia (3.10)...hit .410 with two home runs, 12 RBI and score five runs over 11 postseason games...hit .450 with a home run, eight RBIs and three runs scored in five GSC tournament games...struck out once in every 15.4 at bats, ranking first in the GSC and 20th nationally in toughest to strikeout.
JUCO: Played two seasons for Coach Clay Smith at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Miss...2018 MACJC First-Team All-State...played in 34 games, hitting .370 with nine doubles, a triple, two home runs and 23 RBIs in 2018...also had 12 stolen bases (14 attempts)...hit .210 with 10 doubles, four home runs and 25 RBIs as a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman for Coach Jeff Tageant at Franklinton High School in Franklinton, La...named First-Team All-District catcher three-times (2014, 2015 and 2016)...2016 District 8-AAAA Most Valuable Player...selected to play in the 2016 LHSCA All-Star baseball game.
