EAST CENTRAL CC: Played two seasons for coach Neil Holliman at East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss....As a sophomore, named All-State and ECCC Most Valuable Pitcher after recording a 7-3 record with 3.46 ERA...Appeared in 13 games, all starts while tossing 63.1 innings...Allowed 33 runs, just 24 earned, on 54 hits with 67 strikeouts and 18 walks...Freshman season went 8-4 with a 4.79 ERA on the mound in 17 games for the Warriors...Pitched 56.1 innings while allowing 42 runs on 56 hits with 49 strikeouts.
