2016 (Senior): Played in 59 games with 56 starts at first base...hit .368 (71-for-193) with 11 doubles, seven home runs, 39 RBIs, and 30 runs scored...stole two bases in three attempts...went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs against Lee University (2.27)...had two three hit performances against Mississippi Valley State (4.12) and Missisisppi college (5.1)...recorded 21 multi-hit games, including three three-hit games...had nine multi-RBI games with one three RBI and one five RBI game...longest hitting streak was 16 games.

2015 (Junior): Played in 39 games and started 38 games primarily at first base…had nine doubles, 29 RBIs and was third on the team with six home runs…tied for fourth with 11 multi-hit games and had eight multi-RBI games…longest hitting streak was nine games, closing the year on the four-game hitting streak…went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs versus Mississippi College (4.11)...was 3-for-6 with three runs scored, two RBIs and a double against Alabama-Huntsville (5.4) in the GSC Tournament...earned GSC All-Tournament honors.

JUCO:  Hit .335 with 11 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 48 RBIs in 53 games, garnering All-State laurels as a sophomore…scored 32 runs, stole three bases and collected 56 hits in 165 at bats.
 
PREP:  An All-State performer for Coach Darrell Baker at Malvern High School in Malvern, Arkansas…lettered in football.
 
PERSONAL:  Full name is Hugh Colton Welch…born August 19, 1994…son of Neil Welch and Tina Webb…has one brother, Hunter…majoring in pre-med.
