CAREER: Finished his career with a 19-5 record, making 30 appearances, 28 starts, and four complete games...had a 3.52 ERA with 146 strikeouts against 64 walks, yielding 78 runs, 66 earned, on 160 hits in 168.2 innings pitched...his 19 career wins fell one shy of moving into the top 12 in career wins at DSU.
 
2019 (SENIOR): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-14 overall record and a 20-9 mark in the Gulf South Conference while winning the school's 15th GSC title...tied for sixth on DSU's single season wins list with an 11-3 mark...made 16 appearances, 15 starts, recording one save in his lone relief appearance...registered 74 strikeouts against 37 walks while allowing 36 runs, 29 earned, on 83 hits over 92.2 innings of work...his 11 wins tied for first in the GSC statistics and ranked ninth nationally with teammate Hunter Riggins...ranked third in the GSC in innings pitched (92.2), 10th in strikeouts (74) and fifth in ERA (2.82)...made four postseason starts, posting a 2-1 record with a 3.70 ERA, 18 strikeouts and 10 walks while allowing 13 runs, 10 earned on 25 hits over 24.1 innings...recorded nine strikeouts and allowed three runs, one earned on nine hits but did not figure in the decision against No. 1 Tampa in the NCAA South Super Regional...recorded eight strikeouts at Lee University (4.7) and against Union University (2.25)...registered six or more strikeouts in a game seven times in 15 starts...notched his lone save against Southern Arkansas (2.9).

2018 (Junior): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-11 record and the Gulf South Conference regular-season title with a 23-5 mark...made 13 starts in 14 overall appearances...posted an 8-2 with a 4.38 ERA, two complete games and one combined shutout...struck out 72 hitters and walked 37 while allowing 42 runs, 37 earned, on 77 hits in 76 innings pitched...opponents hit .261 against...tallied five plus strikeouts in 10 games, recording a season-high eight strikeouts two times...posted seven strikeouts against West Georgia and at Union University (4.8)...scattered seven hits with eight strikeouts over seven shutout innings against Mississippi College (4.29)...allowed one hit over four shutout innings with three strikeouts against nationally ranked Quincy University (2.18)...allowed one run on seven hits with eight strikeouts against three walks over seven innings...had six strikeouts against one walk and gave up two hits over seven scoreless innings against Christian Brothers (3.30)...eight wins ranked second in the GSC and 55th nationally and his 72 strikeouts ranked 13th in the league...struck out 22 batters looking, ranking fifth in the GSC.

JUCO: Appeared in 12 games on the mound, making 10 starts…finished 3-1 with a 2.55 ERA and two complete games...logged 57.2 innings, striking out 46 against 23 walks...had a season-high nine strikeouts at East Central in the region tournament...had six quality starts on the year...opponents hit .301 against him...went 1-for-2 at the plate.
 
PREP: Played for head coach Adam Sowell at Horn Lake High School in Horn Lake, Miss...helped the Eagles to a 14-12 finish and a first-round appearance in the Class 5A state playoffs as a senior...was 3-0 with a 0.89 ERA and 25 strikeouts...as a junior, finished 5-5 on the mound with a 2.43 ERA and a save while helping the Eagles to the playoffs...logged 66.1 innings, striking out 79 and holding opponents to a .214 average...he hit .289 from the plate with a pair of doubles and 15 RBIs...also lettered in football.

PERSONAL: Dalton Minton...son of Roger and Bridgette Minton...has two sisters, Candace and Brittany...majoring in criminal justice.
