2016 All-Gulf South Conference Tournament Team

2016 (Junior): Helped lead the Statesmen to a 42-17 overall record, Gulf South Conference championship and a runner-up finish in the NCAA South Region Tournament...Turned in his best season as a Statesman...Appeared in 15 games, making 12 starts, for Delta State...Posted a 5-5 record with a 5.17 ERA...Threw 76.2 innings while allowing 52 runs on 83 hits with 26 walks and 55 strikeouts...Tossed three complete games...Career-high 12 strikeouts at Union (3.5)...Struck out 10 Lee batters on Feb. 28 in first GSC start...Pitched a complete game for the Statesmen versus West Georgia (5.9) in the GSC Tournament, allowing one run on six hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts.

2015 (Junior): Made 12 appearances and started five games…posted a -2 record with a 5.68 ERA…struck out 22 and walked 18 batters while yielding 23 runs, 20 earned on 40 hits…scattered three hits with four strikeouts while tossing a season-high 5.2 innings against Union University (3.15)…allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits with three strikeouts 4.1 innings pitched in a 3-2 win over No. 6 Alabama-Huntsville (3.22).

JUCO: Posted a 2-2 record with one complete game in four starts for Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas…worked 17.2 innings with 13 strikeouts and nine walks while allowing 10 runs, nine earned.

PREP:  Coached by Mark Balisterri at Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas…earned All-Conference and All-State honors as a junior…named All-State and to the Central Arkansas All-Star game his senior year…had a 1.50 ERA as a junior and a 0.56 ERA as a senior. 

PERSONAL:  Full name is Justin Wayne Vincent…born October 24, 1994…son of Kevin and Donna Vincent…has two sisters, Alyson and Claudia…majoring in pre-physical therapy and minoring in Spanish.
