Biography
2019 (SOPHOMORE): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-14 overall record and a 20-9 mark in the Gulf South Conference while winning the school's 15th GSC title and a runner-finish in the NCAA South Region...played in 30 games and started 23 at first base...hit .275 with four doubles, one triple, one home run, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored...also drew six walks and was hit by a pitch five times...had five multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games...went 6-for-9 with two doubles, a home run and two RBI in the West Alabama series...went 3-for-3 with two doubles in game three of the West Alabama series (4.15)...launched a solo home run in game two at Lee University (4.6)...drove in two runs at Mississippi College (4.27).
2018 (JUNIOR): Helped the Statesmen to a 42-11 record and the Gulf South Conference regular-season title with a 23-5 mark...Played in 15 games with on start as the DH against Arkansas Tech (4.18)...had a pinch-hit RBI double in his first at bat as a Statesmen in a 21-10 win over nationally ranked Nova Southeastern (2.3)...finished the year with a .353 average, a double, four RBI and two runs scored...drew a bases-loaded walk for an RBI against Mississippi College (4.28)...had RBI singles at Arkansas Monticello (3.20), at Southern Arkansas (3.27), and at Union University (4.8)...season-high four at bats in his lone start at Arkansas Tech (4.18).
JUCO: Spent two seasons at Mississippi Delta Community College playing under Coaches Michael Avalon (Freshman) and Dan Rives (Sophomore)…amassed a .341 batting average with 23 doubles, nine home runs and 70 RBIs while stealing 5-of-8 bases and scoring 63 runs in 91 career games…hit .364 with 12 doubles, four home runs and 38 RBIs in 48 games as a sophomore…slugged .509 and had a .437 on base percentage in 2017…had a .371 average with 32 RBIs, 11 doubles and five home runs while slugging .497 with a .369 on base percentage during his freshman campaign.
PREP: Played for Lee Boyd at New Hope High School in Columbus, Miss…lettered in football and baseball…helped New Hope claim MHSAA state baseball championships 2013 and 2014…hit .340 with 23 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 78 RBIs in three varsity years…had a .478 career slugging percentage…hit. .327 with five doubles, five home runs and 24 RBIs his senior year…had a .357 average with 10 doubles and 28 RBIs as a junior…amassed a .333 average with eight doubles, one triple, one home run and 26 RBI as a sophomore…played defensive end for the football team, totaling 50 tackles, three for a loss, in 14 games his senior year.
