PREP:  Played for Casey James at Pontotoc High School in Pontotoc, Mississippi…earned Rookie of the Year and All-Division 1-4A as a freshman and Super 15 1-4A as a sophomore…As a junior, won the Offensive and Pitching awards and was named First-Team All-State and All-Division 1-4A…selected to the Mississippi State Games and represented Team Mississippi in the Junior Sunbelt Classic in Oklahoma…listed on  the Top 40 Seniors To Watch…voted team MVP and won the Offensive and Pitching awards while earning MVP Division 1-4A honors as a senior…finished his career 20-3 on the mound and a 1.66 ERA…amassed 121 hits, 97 RBIs, 20 home runs  and a .541 on base percentage at the plate…also played three seasons of American Legion baseball…voted Best All-Around by his classmates and Best Senior by the faculty staff…graduated with honors.
