Alex Bell

Alex Bell enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Delta State Statesmen under head coach Todd Cooley.

 

Bell, a Daytona Beach, Fla. native, joins the #DSUFamily, from Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky. 

 

While at KCU In 2022 Bell served as the Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. KCU’s Offensive took major strides with Bell’s arrival. KCU offense increased from 19.5 points per game to 27.5 Points per game. They went from 60th in the country of total offense to 32nd. The Knights passing attack increased from 39th in the country to 12th. Bell mentored one all conference player in his loan season with KCU as Karon Taylor was a 1st team all-conference performer.

 

Prior to KCU Bell’s coaching Career started immediately after graduating from Union College in 2018, he stayed at his alma mater serving in a variety of roles! He was at points the Associate Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, as well spent times coaching Wide Receivers, Quarterbacks and Running Backs. Bell’s year at the Helm as Offensive Coordinator produced All American Isaiah Wright. He also in 2019 mentored Newcomer of the year Jalen Echols as a 2nd team all-conference.

 

Bell, who was a two-year starter at Union college was a 1st Team All-conference Quarterback for the Bulldogs his senior year. As a Senior, Bell generated over 3000 yards of total offense as well as 30 Touchdowns. Bell was selected as part of the Kentucky all commonwealth team as a senior 

 

He graduated in May 2018 as a triple major with a bachelor's degree in educational studies, Health Administration (Business) and Human Performance.

Bell also graduated in May 2020,  with a degree in.
