Travis Champion

Travis Champion begins his second season as a graduate assistant after playing two seasons with the Statesmen under head coach Todd Cooley.

Champion played two seasons at quarterback for the Statesmen, including the 2014 season in which he helped the DSU capture its seventh Gulf South Conference Championship.

In 2013, Champion broke the DSU record with 26 vs. Texas A&M Commerce. He finished his career with 22 touchdown passes.

The Moreno Valley, Calif., native graduated from DSU with a bachelor of business administration and is pursuing a master of business administration.
