Delta State University

Christian Johnston, ATC, enters his second year as the assistant athletic trainer.

The Ocean Springs, Miss., native is a 2014 graduate of Delta State and is will work with the baseball and football teams.

Johnston is currently earning a masters in sports management from American Military University. Prior to returning to DSU, Christian is a part of the United States National Guard with a Rank of E-4 and is a fire support specialist

Johnston also worked with the Pascagoula-Gautier School District as an Instructor of Sports Medicine. He was a head coach at Paul Lacoste Sports as well.

Johnston got his start at Copiah-Lincoln Community College as the head athletic trainer, covering football, softball, men's and women's basketball, and golf.

Johnston is a CPR/AED/First Aid Professional Rescuer Instructor CertIfied American College of Sports Medicine.
